Our most current policies and procedures related to maintaining a clean environment conducive to learning are below.
The Learning Commons and Health Sciences Library reserve the right to modify policies when necessary.
Food is not permitted in the Learning Commons or in the Health Sciences Library. Drinks with lids are allowed.
Learning Commons at Greenfield
The Learning Commons is meant to be a collaborative work environment, and the front portion of the Learning Commons as well as the group study rooms located throughout are the best spaces to use for large group work that requires conversation. Please be respectful of others when working in a group and keep your level of conversation low so as not to disturb others.
The middle and back portions of the Learning Commons (other than the study rooms) are meant for tutoring, small group work, and individual work. Please limit your conversation in these areas and keep your voices low.
Please be courteous and keep cell phone conversations short. We encourage you to take phone conversations outside of the Learning Commons.
Also, please be courteous of others and put your device ringtones and notifications on vibrate or silent.
A limited number of earphones are available for you to use while you are in the Learning Commons and must do work that requires watching videos.
Health Sciences Library at James Street
The Library is meant to be a place for quiet study, research, work, and collaboration. Please be respectful of your colleagues and keep conversation low.
Please be courteous, and take cell phone conversations to the Lobby.
There is also a house phone in the Library for short conversations.
Earphones are available free of charge; stop by the Information Desk if you would like a pair.
