Basic reference services are available to everyone who visits the Learning Commons and Health Sciences Library. Reference questions may also be emailed to library@pacollege.edu
In-depth research assistance and database instruction is provided by a professional librarian, and is available to LGH and PAC personnel for work and school-related topics. Please schedule an appointment for this.
Classroom instruction can also be arranged, so please contact the Library to schedule a session tailored to your students’ or audience’s needs.
LGH staff and College faculty and staff may request expert literature searches; however, this service is not meant to take the place of the work required for continuing education, residency, and other academic requirements. Librarians will do a search and provide you with a link to search results as well as the steps to replicate the search so you can learn how to do your own literature searches in the future. The link provided will have all of the resources returned in a search, and you will be required to go through the list and determine which results best fit your needs.
Literature search results will be emailed to you and will only be mailed if absolutely necessary. Search results will not be faxed.
Literature search results not owned or licensed by the Learning Commons/Library can be requested through interlibrary loan.
Students may not request expert literature searches because part of their academic requirements is to learn to use library resources on their own. Students may schedule research appointments for individual assistance searching.
