This guide will supply you with resources to help you with NUR 301.
Learning some information about your Nursing theory / theorist is a great place to start. While you might be tempted to search Google, try looking through your textbook and books from the Health Sciences Library first.

Logging into library resources (OpenAthens)
In order to use library resources, you will need to login. PA College and Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health users can use their respective credentials to login to library resources.

Try searching for the name of your theorist or theory
Use the limiters on the left-hand side
Searching for other NUR301 topics: You will probably need to try a variety of search terms to find the information you need. This page has more information on coming up with those terms.

Summon Discover is the library's discovery tool that searches across multiple databases at the same time. You can create an account and save articles from your searches by clicking on the RefWorks login at the top right of the page.

Grammarly: Grammarly automatically detects grammar, spelling, punctuation, word choice, and style mistakes in your writing. The Learning Commons provides access to the premium version of Grammarly, which you can find more information on here.
Smarthinking (in Blackboard): This is an online tutoring service that provides on-demand tutoring in math, biology, A&P and more. There is also an option where you can submit your writing to get feedback. In Blackboard, look for the Smarthinking box under your list of courses.
