Library Orientation: Evaluating Sources

New to PA College of Health Sciences or college research? Want to know what the library offers and how to use it? Check out this guide

Evaluating Sources

In order to find college level resources, you will need to evaluate the sources you find.  The information below will help you get started.  If you are not sure whether a source is appropriate, reach out to our library staff before you decide to use it.  If your professor is asking for scholarly or peer-reviewed sources, check out the Scholarly, popular, and trade subpage.

CRAAP Test

Check out this handout from Meriam Library at California State University for specific questions to ask yourself when evaluating sources.
