How do I find out if a book is available at the Health Sciences Library?
Use the Catalog. You can use the eBook search then limit the search by adding a word, title, subject to the second serach box.
How do I get journal articles and books that are not available online?
You can request Print materials by filling out an Article or Book Request Form and the library will attempt to borrow the resource from another library.
How long does it take to receive an interlibrary loan ?
You should allow 7 business days for the average article request. Items owned by the Health Sciences Library will be available fairly quickly; it may take some time to locate and obtain materials from other sources. Books are sent via the U.S. Postal Service and will be delivered more slowly than articles. Please be aware that all requests may not be obtainable, especially if the request is on a topic outside of the health sciences field.There is no charge to you for interlibrary loan.
How can I expedite the interlibrary loan process?
Provide complete, accurate bibliographic information for the requested item, such as MEDLINE UI number, title, author, journal title, volume and issue numbers, date of publication, and page numbers. Also Indicate a “need by” or “not needed after” date on your request.
How do I borrow a book in person?
Visit the Health Sciences Library in the Learning Commons at Greenfield or inside the James Street Lobby at LGH.
How do I ask a librarian a reference question?
The Health Sciences Library is staffed with Librarians Mon - Fri 8:00-5:00. You can email reference questions to Library@Pacollege.edu
