The Health Sciences Library has many resources to help answer your health-related questions, including books, videos, fact sheets, and access to health-related websites. The sites listed on our Patient Health page are considered quality sources of online health information. Most are ranked as Top Ten medical websites by the Consumer and Patient Health Information Section (CAPHIS) of the Medical Library Association, and have been evaluated for credibility, sponsorship/authorship, content, audience, currency, disclosure, purpose, links, design, interactivity, and disclaimers.
For Healthcare Professionals:
The Health Sciences Library and LGH provide access to many subscription databases that provide patient education resources. Materials range from specific patient education handouts, consumer health journal articles, printer-friendly medication information, and brochures. The librarians at the Health Sciences Library are able to help you navigate any of the databases to locate patient education materials.
